Subsequent to the first publicity of the Buffalo USB 3.0 during the IDF trade fair, Buffalo Technology has confirmed and revealed more details about its latest External Hard drive. It is currently available in the market as previously mentioned during the trade fair. The DriveStation HD-HXU3 will indeed support USB 3.0 which marks them as one of its early adopters.

Contrary though from the prior report, the DriveStation HD-HXU3 will boost a transfer rate of up to 625MB/s. For instances that the user opted to use the current USB Standard for the DriveStation HD-HXU3, the transfer rate will be downgraded to approximately 480Mb/s. Buffalo Technology has also designed a two-port USB 3.0 PCI Express interface card which is the IFC-PCIE2U3 that will enable system upgrades for the users to utilize Buffalo USB 3.0’s higher transfer speeds.
