It has been cited that EA has acquired Playfish for approximately US$275 million in cash and approximately $US25 million in equity retention arrangements. Playfish is worth the price for being recognized as the world’s largest social gaming company with over 150 million games installed and played on different platforms like Facebook, MySpace, Google, Bebo, iPhone and Android. Playfish stated that they currently have 60 million monthly active players on its different game titles – like Pet Society, Restaurant City and Country Story – which brings more than 1 billion games sessions every month. Technochasers, will the EA and Playfish collaboration ignite a new gaming experience?
