Ford Enforces Safety with Inflatable Seatbelts

Ford has, at long last, materialized their patent on car security system. They will be incorporating airbags on the seatbelts for the rear-seat passengers. The inflatable seatbelts are essentially effective in providing protection to children and elderly, who are frailer, in cases of collision.

Car collisions mostly bring damage on the ribs of the passengers. Having Ford’s inflatable seatbelts which are designed with wider belts and bags will spread the crash forces across the passenger’s chest and as well as support the neck and head. That occurrence will lessen the chance of serious injury. It is also worth of note that Ford has efficiently blended the two conventional car safety devices today which are seatbelts and airbags.

Ford Engineers took eight years to develop the security system of the inflatable seatbelts. The seat belt airbags will use a cold gas technology that will deploy more gently, compared to the front airbags, and within a tenth of a second. They have made a public video document of the crash test dummy that shows how comfortable the inflatable seatbelts are than the traditional seatbelts as they provide more padding and smoother edges.

It was cited that the inflatable seatbelts can be expected on the next generation Explorer that has been a platform for other safety introductions. It may, unfortunately, expensively be priced but may be marked down if Ford decides to integrate it on other vehicles. Technochasers, will Ford’s inflatable seatbelts give you more reason to buckle up?
