Imation has recently publicized another external hard drive that will break new ground in storage medium. The Imation Pro WX claims to be the world’s first Wireless USB external hard drive. It has been demonstrated at the Pepcom Wine, Dine & Demo media event at Manhattan Center Studios.

The Imation Pro WX Wireless USB hard drive has a capacity of 1.5TB and a data transfer rate of up to15MBs/second. It can back up a typical CD in 50 seconds. It presents convenience with its 3.5-inch form factor plus a wireless range of up to 30 feet and it doesn’t require batteries. The Pro WX comes with an integrated stand for vertical and horizontal orientation and an integrated sleep mode to facilitate energy conservation plus a one-touch, backup sync buttons for automatic back up of data.
