LG is bracing itself for a good campaign in support of its first Android smartphone. It was labeled as the LG GW620 and the company has groomed a website for it with video demos, photos, user manual and specification sheet. LG might have thought of it as an ideal move for the holidays.

The LG GW620 is a dualband UMTS (900/2100) quadband GSM device that measure 109 x 54.5 x 15.9 mm and weights 139g. It has an integrated WiFi, Bluetooth, and a 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash plus a microSD slot. A 3-inch HVGA resistive touchscreen is incorporated and powered by Android 1.5 with LG S-class UI. The GW620 supports Social Networking Services (SNS) through its SNS Manager and facilitates linkages to the Contact application. The LG GW620 is expected to arrive in select European market before the end of the year. Can LG GW620 prevail as a Droid phone?
