Microsoft has expanded its Bing Search by adding online mapping on its tools. That will bring them a good leverage over Google Maps. Bing ensures though to step up their mapping tools with their Microsoft Silverlight that will facilitate good quality photos of mapped-out locations.

Bing Maps has integrated smooth panning, zooming and moving navigation on the map views. They have also introduced “Street Side” which will vie with Google Street View. Street Side includes street level photography for 56 US metro areas, which will eventually go global, that will enable users to explore the vicinity of the cities. Microsoft also aims to craft a new experience through their 3D mapping assets. The Beta version of the Bing Maps is currently available and it has been cited that Microsoft aims to bring Bing Maps to mobile devices. Technochasers, will this bring a positive kudos to Microsoft?
