Nikon Recoups Coolpix Series with P100 Superzoom

Nikon is firing up their Coolpix camera series through the release of their latest Compact Digital Camera, The Nikon Coolpix P100. It may not have the sturdy features similar to the Lumix TS2 but it sure will compensate on its other versatile features.

Nikon Coolpix P100

The Nikon Coolpix P100 steps up among the Coolpix line as it debuts the CMOS image sensor and full High Definition (HD) movie capabilities on its features. An expansive 26x Optical Wide Angle Zoom, 3inch LCD screen, 10.3 megapixel resolution and 120 FPS burst are packed with it; plus it delivers a full 1080p video in H.264. A Stereo microphone is mounted on the camera plus optical zoom and autofocus features can be rendered while recording videos. The P100 is also capable of capturing slow-motion video by shooting at up to 240 frames per second. It also has a built in High Dynamic Range (HDR) function for merging pictures with the same scene plus other features like 5-Way Vibration Reduction (VR), ISO 3200 capability, and an in-camera Red Eye Fix. An HDMI output is also included for HDTV and monitor connectivity and with that you can crop up a Nikon-Sony gadget experience. The Nikon Coolpix P100 will be available in the market this coming March for a price of $399.95. Technochasers, will you consider the Nikon Coolpix P100 a functional compact camera?
