Rights Entitlement for Apple

Apple will soon be making another mark on the innovation arena. Three patent applications were filed by Apple which will probably be integrated in the coming iPhone or other Apple devices. The applications were specifically documented as follows:

HapticHaptic Feedback is a technology that creates a sensory effect for touch screen devices. This can be executed by embedding a “piezoelectronic actuators” and upon its activation, a vibration or a feel of the button will be yielded as you set motion on the screen. It is somehow similar with the BlackBerry Storm but with enhanced texture.

Fingerprint Recognition for input method was also included. This application isolates itself from the idea of security authentication. It will be utilized to identify individual fingers with their associated functions. Say for instance on media player navigation, your index finger will be a signature for play/stop function while your middle finger will be for fast forward. Sleek, right?

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) Reader concludes the list. This facilitates the device to recognize RFID tags or chips (like the ones on passports, usually used as an alternative for barcodes) that are embedded on another object. It will be integrated beneath the touch screen. The purpose of this application is a bit vague and this may be Apple’s way of invigorating the market.

Were you enthused by it?
