Sony has been tagged on a tip-off that they will be releasing, sooner or later, a wide range of HDTVs in the market. The trace includes LCD TVs and an OLED set which are considered as Sony’s flagship. Though few details were imparted on the matter however they were appealing enough to dwell on.

Following Sony’s flagship OLED TV, the XEL-1, is the KDL-ZX which claims to have a screen of 10-inch larger than its first model (XEL-1). It will likely use a 21-inch OLED panel while having the same 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio but a higher resolution from its previous 720p. The LCD TVs, on the other hand, consist of the XBR11 and XBR12. The XBR line will feature a Bravia Engine 3 Pro with HD Video Processor, a UV2 anti-glare filter and the screen dimension will range between 32 and 60 inches. They will particularly differ on the backlighting, the XBR11 will use a white LED for an enhanced image quality that is above the usual blue LEDs; the XBR12 will use a RGB LED for better contrast on darker scenes.
The image above is perhaps an XBR11 LCD given that it features a silver coating glass accent as mentioned on the Sony product sheet below. Technochasers, were you lured by some means with Sony’s forthcoming HDTVs?
