Technochase Revels at Microsoft Philippines VIP Mix

Microsoft Philippines organized a bash for a hundred bloggers where in they presented a consumer preview for their MS Office 2010 Beta. The event was entitled Microsoft VIP Mix for January 2010, it is a monthly organized event and Technochase was chosen to be a part of it and witness the innovations of their latest Office Edition.

Mr. Johnny, who’s with Microsoft Philippines, initiated the program by presenting the Picture Editing Tools that are already integrated in the Powerpoint platform. This will then bring convenience and organization to the users as there won’t be a need to open another program for picture editing. The tool can convert pictures with regards to the colors: Sepia mode can be applied and the frame options were expanded plus other Picture effects. Video Embedding that includes trimming can also be executed on the Powerpoint work space without the need for Plug-ins. The picture effects, such as picture styles or borders and other adjustments, can also be applied to video embedding. Broadcasting Slides is also another feature of the Powerpoint wherein sharing the Powerpoint file can be done on a Live Account like IM.

Jayvee Fernandez talked about the updates of MS Word wherein a blogging post format was integrated. The Bloggers, as expected, felt more excited about this after Jayvee caught the interest of everyone as he taunts on saying that he always wanted to go at the office of Microsoft with his Macbook without anyone noticing it. Jayvee also shared his fascination on Windows Live Photo Gallery which is a free downloadable application for stitching photos and other picture effects. Mr. Johnny joined Jayvee after his presentation and added the new threaded email and organizing folder system of the Outlook.

They also presented the Office Web Applications that will be capable of taking Powerpoint/ Word/ Excel files from the desktop and edit it online. A number of users can simultaneously work on the file online. It also includes a feature that identifies the people who are working on the file online. The system requirements for the MS Office 2010 Beta include compatibility with Vista, 2007 and XP Service Pack 3 plus a 256MB of RAM. Microsoft has given away a bag of goodies to all the Bloggers after the event. Technochasers, has Microsoft created a good mix of applications for their MS Office 2010 Beta?
